It's nice to hear that we can send images while chating in facebook..!!
=> Do the simple steps bel0w:-
If u want to send ur profile picture then go to ur profile,timeline. And then select ur profile picture. Now u'll got ur zoomed picture. Now select the add bookmark option and select edit option. N0w u'll get something like this:-

Now copy the 2nd id:-
100002486815168
and then goto chat and paste the id like this:-
